Hello my friends in this wonderful Wednesday Walk community.
I hope you are all well, healthy, and having a productive week. Since it's Wednesday, I'm happily joining the #wednesdaywalk challenge, a space I love and which was created by our dear @tattoodjay to share our steps on this special day.
Today I had a unique walk. After finishing production at Chocolates Alile and handing all the orders over to the couriers so they arrive on time to our customers, I decided to accompany my husband to the province of Mayabeque. Every two weeks we go in search of fresh cow's milk, which we both love. He usually makes the trip alone, but today the sky was very gray, and I don't like him driving long distances in that weather, so I joined him.

Espero que todos estén bien, con salud y atravesando una semana productiva. Ya que es miércoles, me uno con alegría al reto de #wednesdaywalk, un espacio que me encanta y que fue creado por nuestro querido @tattoodjay para compartir nuestros pasos en este día especial.
Hoy viví un paseo particular. Después de concluir el proceso productivo en Chocolates Alile y entregar todos los pedidos a los mensajeros para que llegaran puntualmente a nuestros clientes, decidí acompañar a mi esposo hasta la provincia de Mayabeque. Cada quince días vamos en busca de leche de vaca fresca, que tanto nos gusta. Generalmente él hace ese recorrido solo, pero hoy el cielo estaba muy gris y no me gusta que maneje largas distancias con ese tiempo, así que me sumé.
The day was overcast, heralding one of the first cold fronts of the winter season in Cuba. It even rained during the journey. Even so, I managed to take some photos along the way to share this trip filled with shades of gray.
El día estaba cubierto de nubes, anunciando uno de los primeros frentes fríos de la etapa invernal en Cuba. Incluso llovió durante el trayecto. Aun así, logré tomar algunas fotos en el camino para compartirles este recorrido lleno de matices grises.
I love the ecological rest area right at the entrance to San José. Since the weather was overcast, the place was almost empty, but I'm fascinated by those rustic cabins with thatched roofs nestled among the tall trees. On sunny days, families camp there, right by the roadside. I love that direct contact with nature.
Adoro el área ecológica de descanso que se encuentra justo en la entrada de San José. Como el clima estaba sombrío, el lugar estaba casi vacío, pero me fascinan esas casetas rústicas con techo de guano entre los árboles altos. En días de sol, las familias acampan allí, al borde de la carretera. Me encanta ese contacto directo con la naturaleza.
Before entering the village, the landscape transforms; the red, freshly plowed earth stretches out like a tapestry under the overcast sky. I like seeing the fields like this, alive, with that intense hue that seems to burn. There is something profoundly beautiful in that mixture of dampness and labor.
Antes de entrar al pueblo, el paisaje se transforma; la tierra roja, recién labrada, se extiende como un tapiz bajo el cielo encapotado. Me gusta ver los campos así, vivos, con ese tono intenso que parece arder. Hay algo profundamente hermoso en esa mezcla de humedad y labor.
In San José, we barely had time to pick up the milk and head back because one of the delivery men had motorcycle trouble and called us, so we had to return immediately. But before we left, I noticed a Fiat 126, an old car, parked on one of those wet streets. Its compact design and round headlights evoked another era. I couldn't resist taking a picture, because even on the cloudiest days, there are details that distinguish us.
En San José, apenas tuvimos tiempo de recoger la leche y regresar porque uno de los mensajeros tuvo problemas con la moto y nos llamó, así que tuvimos que volver inmediatamente. Pero antes, me fijé en un Fiat 126, un coche antiguo, aparcado en una de esas calles mojadas. Su diseño compacto y sus faros redondos evocaban otra época. No pude resistirme a sacarle una foto, porque incluso en los días más nublados, hay detalles que nos distinguen.
Luckily, my husband is very skilled at repairing all kinds of vehicles: electric, gasoline, or diesel. He immediately knew what the problem was and fixed the motorcycle on the spot. Finally, the order was successfully delivered, as the courier later informed me, and we went home.
Por suerte, mi marido es muy hábil reparando todo tipo de vehículos: eléctricos, de gasolina o diésel. Enseguida supo cuál era el problema y arregló la motocicleta allí mismo. Finalmente, el pedido se entregó correctamente, como me informó después el mensajero, y nos fuimos a casa.
A long, fast journey on a gray day... and with this trip, I'm joining the challenge.
