During my daughter's week-long school break, we decided to visit Montreal for a day trip. It was frigid outside for most of her break. I thought it had "warmed up" enough to go to Montreal last Friday. However, it was still really cold, so we made sure to stop inside warm places throughout our walk. We parked in Vieux Montreal and made our way up Boulevard Saint Laurent towards the main strip of Chinatown. We entered through the large Chinatown gate with the intention of stopping at a mall. However, it wasn't open yet, so we kept walking toward the bank. After the bank, we headed back down Rue Saint-Urbain and stopped in a Chinese souvenir book store. Then we crossed back over toward Vieux Montreal and stopped inside Chez Suzette for fondue. After fondue, we took a short stroll down Rue Saint-Paul and stopped in Wachiya, a really cool store showcasing authentic crafts created by the Cree community from the Eeyou Istchee region of Quebec. Check out the photos from our snowy adventure below.
