A Walk Through The City's Bustling Streets.

in Wednesday Walk4 months ago (edited)

Happy Wednesday! How did you your walk go today?

My walk today led me on an interesting route, from the bustling Milverton Avenue to the vibrant Aba Main Park. While on it, I captured some interesting photos, and I'm thrilled to share them you.

Milverton Avenue, Aba is one of the popular locations in my city, Aba. It is a hub for motor transport companies, especially luxury bus companies. Most of these transport companies offer comfortable and relatively high-end transportation services to various destinations within the country.

GUO Motors is one of the notable transport companies with a presence on Milverton Avenue. They offer intercity bus services, parcel delivery, charter services, and cargo transportation.

There's also Chisco transport company, Ekenedirichukwu transport company, etc.

Moreso, there are other businesses that operate at Milverton, notably; Rosies Textile Mills Ltd, Ascon Builders Nig. Ltd, EMS delivery service plus other small businesses like restaurants, POS operators, BET centers, etc. These businesses contribute to the economic activity and development of the area.

During the day, Milverton Avenue is relatively calm, a shadow of its true self. However, as even draws near, the avenue transforms into a bustling hub of activities. Commuters flock to the area to board buses for their journeys, the loaders and "agberos", moving from one end to the other canvassing for customers for the companies. To them,

Every passerby is a potential traveler.

So you'll hear them ask "Are you traveling to Abuja, Lagos or any part of the North?", "Come and check this or that company." Some will even touch or hold your hands just to draw your attention. This is the part I hate. 😅

In fact the atmosphere becomes so electric that If you're not careful, you might even get lost in the crowd, lol.
Then the drinking parlors add more life to the environment with loud music and mouth watering delicacies - fish barbecue, assorted peppersoup, suya and chilled drinks.

Away from Milverton, I got to the ever busy and bustling Aba Main Park. This park serves as a terminal for various transportation companies including buses, taxis and tricycles.

One of the landmarks at Aba Main park is this structure, which housed "Rex Cinema." Rex Cinema, a historic cinema house was a prominent entertainment spot in the city of Aba, Abia State, Nigeria, for many years, showing both local and international movies. But sadly, it has gone moribund, closed for over two decades, and now houses a transport company.

Even though it's no longer functioning as a cinema, the old Rex Cinema building remains a local landmark, with the name "Rex" boldly emblazoned atop the building. That's the only reminder of its glorious past.

Next is the Aba South Local Government Area, housing the popular "Aba Town Hall". This structure is also another landmark in the city of Aba.

Then to Peace Mass Transit Ltd, one of the popular transportation companies operating in Aba, and other cities across the country.

I stopped by a vendor, hoping to find a new casing for my eyeglasses, but unfortunately, they didn't have the type I wanted. So I continued with my walk.

And then I stumbled upon "Mister Football", a local professional coach. He's famous for his impressive dribbling skills, where he kicks the ball up repeatedly with his legs without missing any kick.

Aha! something for your eyes. See how beautiful these foot wears are. They're all locally made; very durable and long lasting.

Make a pick 😅

He already got one for himself 😂

I enjoyed the stroll. Not only was it refreshing, but it also gave me the opportunity to reconnect with my environment. Visiting the ever busy, bustling Milverton Avenue and Aba Main Park allowed me to experience the vibrant energy of the city once again. It was exhilarating to see the bustling streets, and I found beauty in the chaos. 😅
