Absolutely those hooks can hold pianos. Well, the rope can and the hook handle the rope. For as long as centuries we have peeps living in these types of houses with at least 4 levels with narrow staircases, hence the hook, rope and larger windows had to be used for anything large and heavy, incl pianos. And yes, the windows are pretty large. Well, maybe not the windows, but the frames could (and still can) be taken out fairly easily.
ADE: didn't check the program at all. Owww Nils! Really? Since its Thursday probably the 'Music aan de IJ' location, which is beautiful! This weekend I'll check the program and will start my 'thinking' process on what I shall not miss out on.

When I moved to the city, and eighth floor (maybe you remember the story, if not, doesn't matter) there was no elevator... or hooks, ropes or else to carry easily my upright piano to the apartment 😅
