A happy and blessed Wednesday to the entire @wednesdaywalk community. It's so nice to meet each week to relive and share walks that have left their mark on us.
Today I want to share with you a trip that made me very happy and I enjoyed it immensely, because the company was super-special: my son, my niece, and my oldest granddaughter. I love being surrounded by young people, because they fill me with joy and vitality.
My son wanted to contemplate Havana from the José Martí Viewpoint, from there you can see the four cardinal points of the City.
We left the car at the National Theater and walked toward the Mausoleum. The Rasduras, as this building is also known, has a gigantic statue of José Martí at its entrance.
From there, political events and shows held in the Plaza de la Revolución are presided over. The site is accessed via two ramps, and as you ascend, you can admire several monumental buildings, such as the National Library.
When we enter the complex, on the first floor there is a museum, with several rooms dedicated to displaying exhibitions, works, paintings, etc.
We went straight to the elevator to go up to the viewpoint. I can tell you that no matter how many times you are there, the view is always something that will impress you..
The girls wanted to know where their homes, schools, and other places in the city were, and depending on their location, they should go to the views of the north, south, southwest, etc., so they could also see the importance of the cardinal points for the location of the points, which were very well marked on the grounds.
My son, who is a civil engineer, explained to us very interesting things about the construction and history of the roads and buildings we saw from there.
At the end of our visit, we toured the museum and took some photos as a testament to this interesting, educational, and relaxing visit.

Un feliz y bendecido miércoles para toda la comunidad de @wednesdaywalk, es muy grato encontrarnos cada semana para revivir y compartir paseos que han dejado huellas en nosotros.
Hoy quiero compartirles un paseo que me hizo muy feliz y disfrute muchísimo, pues la compañía fue supe-especial, mi hijo, mi sobrina y mi nieta mayor, estar rodeada de juventud me encanta, pues me impregnan de alegría y vitalidad.
Mi hijo quería contemplar La Habana desde el Mirador José Martí, desde allí puedes divisar los cuatro puntos cardinales de la Ciudad.
Dejamos el carro en el Teatro Nacional y caminamos hacia el Mausoleo, la raspadura como también se le conoce a esta edificación, tiene en su entrada la gigantesca estatua de José Martí.
Desde allí se presiden los actos políticos y espectáculos que se realizan en la Plaza de la Revolución, se accede al lugar por dos rampas y mientras subes, pues puedes contemplar varias edificaciones monumentales como lo es La Biblioteca Nacional.
Cuando entramos al recinto, en el primer piso hay un museo, con varias salas destinadas a mostrar exposiciones, obras, pinturas, etc.
Nosotros fuimos directo al elevador para subir al mirador, puedo decirles que no importa las veces que estés en el lugar, siempre la vista es algo que te va a impresionar.
Las niñas querían saber donde quedaban sus casas las escuelas y otros sitios de la ciudad y según la ubicación de los mismos debían ir para las vistas del norte, sur o suroeste etc., de forma que también pudieron constatar la importancia de los puntos cardinales para la ubicación de los puntos, que estaban muy bien señalizados en el recinto.
Mi hijo que es Ingeniero civil, nos fue explicando cosas muy interesantes acerca de la construcción e historia de las carreteras y construcciones que veíamos desde allí.
Al terminar nuestra visita, hicimos un recorrido por el museo y nos tomamos algunas fotos como constancia de esta visita tan interesante, educativa y relajante.
