People do stupid things... I do stupid things... And as a result of that, the levels of stress and anxiety are going through the roof... Along with that, health issues can arise, headaches, migraines, stiff neck, etc. Personally, for me, the best "cure" for those things is to go outside for a walk... It would be even better if I used it more as a PREVENTION tool, and not when it's already late and has to be cured... But, hey... Did I tell you at the beginning... I do stupid things... lol...

I tend to do daily walks... Colder weather is coming and I'm not that much motivated to go out, but checking some old photos can do the job and push me over the edge... Luckily, there is one place that I try not to miss every week.... On Sunday mornings, I drive my wife to her work in another city... While she is playing the piano for hotel clients, I go out for a walk... The city has a couple of different places to walk around, but one of my favorites is the one that I shared in the past, but it's too pretty not to be shared again... but, from a different angle...

The photos that will accompany you in this post are taken from 2 different days/walks... Both were early in the morning, while the sun was still low... It was so peaceful, and the lake surface was almost perfect... There are some nice reflections in it, but it could be better... Anyway, the big minus of the walk was that on some parts of the path, there were a lot of mosquitoes, and I hate them... On the other side, they like me... I was always the one who was bitten the most at home... 😂

I did mention that I shared at least one walk around this lake, and I can clearly remember showing you a photo of distant white spots that I had to assure you they are flamingos... And you had to believe me... Well, now let's change that! I have clear(er) proof this time! 😃

This lake is less than half a meter deep, as it was used in the past for producing salt... Nowadays, it's a natural habitat of many bird species, a few fish, and a lot of already mentioned mosquitoes... 😃

I suppose everyone knows what a flamingo looks like, with its long pink legs, white feathers, and a few pink ones in between... But, do you know what a young (teenage) flamingo looks like? I didn't know until I saw this one... and a few other brothers and sisters of his!

Most adult flamingos are afraid of people, and whenever I would come closer, they would just turn their backs and slowly walk toward the middle of the lake... Not sure if they were harassed by someone, or it's just their nature, but the youngsters weren't afraid!

So, I was finally able to take some photos of them, and you don't have to believe only my word anymore... You can believe your eyes too!!! 😃

A week after the first visit, my walking route was on the other side of the city, but I still decided to take a peek at the lake again... It was a bit windy and cloudy, so these photos aren't that good like those from the beginning, but I was lucky to meet some of my fellow teen flamingos again!

Those with pink feathers were further away, but a few youngsters were close enough for a photo!

I hope you enjoyed this short walk with flamingos! Do you have a similar place in your surroundings? A lake, or a pond, with some birds that like to pose for a photo?
Unfortunatelly, I didn't have a better camera to photograph these beauties... 😔 I had with me only my mobile phone...
Thank you for your time.

Hello friend 👋
Reading your post felt like I was walking with you. You know I love such lakes a lot when I went to the Northern Areas a few months ago I saw many such lakes there and since then I have fallen in love with these lakes. Your pictures are quite beautiful the color of the water and the sky cannot be distinguished and there is no doubt that a good walk makes you mentally and physically strong and gets rid of such a bad thing as stress.
I have seen this bird only once in reality and that too from a distance and I could not get a good short but its legs were light pink. There are more chances of mosquitoes near such lakes and like you I also fight mosquitoes every night.😄

Nice shots of the view! I'm also a favorite target of mosquitoes 😅 I’m always torn about using repellant. don’t wanna hurt their feelings hahaha
Seeing this made me realize it’s my first time seeing them, too! I think I like the younger ones more, their color looks nicer than the pink ones. Hope I get to see one in person someday!
