Its time for another commuting walk for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
In the morning when I arrive to Chicago everything is dark now. The opera house is nice and bold looking with their building lighting in the dark.
Later on at lunch everything is nice and bright again. Though the sunlight starts to highlights ome of the years of scuz baked into the stone.
I usually take a long lunch walk to keep myself from being permanently shaped like an office chair.
Back to the morning, now mist is consistently showing up every morning. This causes havoc for migrating birds and I often find a few that are stunned or dead from running into these skyscrapers.
I try and pick the living ones up and move them to open green park areas so they don't get stepped on by people in a rush to get into the office.
Looks like the city is getting ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving with various pumpkins being placed around town.
Soon this darkness won't just be in the morning. I'll arrive in the dark and leave in the dark with our winters even though its 8am and 5pm.
Random smiley face lol.
Skinny alleyway between two old buildings peaking out to a modern looking building in the background.
Now its time to go home, still sunny out.
But by the time I get back the sun is already setting. Better start taking my vitamin D again as I'll have no sunlight during my walks anymore.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
Unreal, your photos are incredibly good, yet I feel like the apocalypse is coming with the scenarios you portray as well as the whole mist and birds dying situation
Yeah poor birds they should stay clear of this area during migration. I often see rare ones like this woodpecker smaller onrs survive the hits but big ones die instantly when hitting the buildings.
