Wednesday Walk - First Walk Out with the Baby

in Wednesday Walklast year (edited)

Here is a first time walk out with our new baby for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

It has been really cold the past week and everything is frozen over with snow. Though we did suddenly get a warm influx of weather. It was pretty strange seeing the frozen lake with footsteps on it but the temperature was 50 degrees F. This became the perfect time to test out our baby stroller on our newborn.

Everyone wanted to take advantage of the weather outside for a warm winter walk. Dog owners always have to be walking even if it is cold outside.

As it turns out all the parents in the neighborhood has the same idea as us. Just a random shot in one direction and I was able to catch three strollers lol.

And even more across the lake too. These guys have multiple ages in progress. One is even old enough to test the ice.

In a few years I'll be building snowmen with my daughter. I wonder if by three years she'll be able to handle the cold outside to go sledding and building snow forts.

Right now she is only two month and has to be bundled up. Most of the time she slept during the bumpy stroller ride but finally decided to open her eyes and look at the new surroundings. Perhaps her amanita muscaria hat will get her interested in hunting mushrooms with me once she gets older lol.

I was hoping to get some wildlife photos but as it turned out none of the animals wanted to be out in the warm weather. Perhaps they know it will get cold again and don't want to bother waking up from hibernation. So I resorted to taking pictures of the lake house as usual.

Finally I did notice one touch of wildlife. The redtail hawk seems to hang out on top of these parapits every day. Maybe that's the reason why I didn't see any squirrels out. I wonder if it might have made a nest up there too...

My neighbor is still dressing up her Halloween crows. It looks like they are decked out in Valentines outfits.

The other crow is looking quite beat up. I wonder if they will get new ones to dress up. The winter is tough on these decorations, or perhaps they are getting picked apart by real crows wondering what is going on with these strange inanimate objects that look like them.

My neighbors really like to decorate their yards for any of the holidays that roll around. This helps me even remember that there is a holiday coming up lol. Now I better start thinking of a Valentines gift for my poor sleep deprived wife.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

Wow, your journey is very entertaining.
All the pictures that you show are very interesting.

Thanks, snow probably seems quite different than what you're used to in the tropical zone.

Yes, I saw it.
It is very cool.

Nice! I don't believe I congratulated you yet

Thanks :-) Its been quite an experience so far. We are finally get a sleep routine down with not too much crying anymore.

Awesome! Exciting to take the little one out for a spin. Beautiful baby btw 🙂 Maybe my wife is a little crazy but she builds snowmen and there are no kids in the house anymore.

Haha I suppose she loves Vermont then, plenty of snow to play in there. My wife's main weirdness is catching huge wild spiders bare handed on camping trips.

Aawww there she is… what a cutie 🥰
Great to see her first walk out.
Nice walk @sketch.and.jam 😊👋🏻 thanks for sharing.
Have a great Wednesday further!

She's pretty cute so far. Not too much crying either just when she's hungry or has a burp stuck. I gotta turn her into an outdoors kid asap.

That’s wonderful to hear, especially from the not crying much.
Yep… teach her all you know from the outdoors. She will thank you later 😊
Have a nice day 👋🏻

Wow!
What a wonderful experience, thank for taking us with you on this great journey. At 3 I believe she should be strong enough. Well, it doesn't snow I'm my country, so I might really not be sure. But if there is one thing I am sure it is the fact that the pictures are really beautiful.

Yeah I'll just have to bundle her up quite a bit for snow playing. I grew up in the desert so I'm not sure how to raise a kid in the snow lol.

Congratulations very sweet baby.... 🤗
Nice walk, and your neighbors have nice ideas 😊

She's pretty cute. If I ever get a house with a yard I'll need to do some decorations like my neighbor.

It really is 🥰

The yard with those decorations has its own charm...🤗

nice the weather warmed out so you could test out the stroller, and see the sights the neighbour with the decorated crows was interesting

Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks

I just wonder where on earth they get the little decorations for their crows, like little hats etc.

I was thinking just the same

Nice walk with your baby, it's such a beautiful environment, I thought it was funny about the decorated crows, but it seems like a fun idea, thanks for sharing your nice walk, regards 🖖

Agradable paseo junto a su bebé, es un ambiente tan hermoso, me pareció gracioso lo de los cuervos decorados, Pero me parece una idea divertida, gracias por compartir tu lindo paseo, saludos 🖖

This winter has been nice and mild, hopefully we can go on more walks with the baby. Some decorations around here can get quite complex and hilarious.

Enjoy the time with your daughter.

She's in a cute phase right now, not too difficult yet...

Congrats! Life only gets better!!

What's the best age to bring them out into the snow? Though I'm down here in the flatlands we might be a little bit thinner blooded that you guys up there.

Well, we had Hattie out for walks right out of the gate (bundled up, of course), but never when the weather was below 0F or when the wind chill was nasty. Now, I can barely get her to come inside when it's cold out there

Perhaps next winter I'll be building snow dwarfs with her, she's a 99 percentile in height so maybe they'll be full size snowmen by then lol.

Wow, you had an interesting walk. funny.

All the bumps in the melting snow rocked the baby to sleep. Soon she'll be old enough to appreciate the strangely decorated crows.

😂 I am expecting the birth of my sixth grandchild. Maybe they'll even let me talk to him often later. All my children live far away and I rarely see my grandchildren.

Oomph yeah its rough traveling with small children, I worry about taking to see the rest of the family across the country at too small an age.

I have a problem - my sons live in closed cities. Not everyone is allowed there, you need to issue a special pass. It's easier with my daughter, she lives in Moscow. I see her more often. Here I hope that I will see my future grandson often.

Wow, I've never heard of a closed city. Papers please.

Always interesting and excellent pics!! And big congratulations on your little girl!!
