Here are a few sightings on a hot sunny day for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
Spring is almost over and it already feels like summer here. Time to start wearing shorts again.
This robin was hanging out under the leaves to cool down.
This robin has an even better idea of cooling down. It was making a splash in a new fountain that has been installed in the park.
This bullfrog is always keeping cool in the summer by hanging out in the lake. They only tend to leave the lake in the evening when its cool and bugs are crawling around in the grass.
Maybe the bullfrog can eat a couple grasshoppers for dinner.
This blackbird has already claimed the grasshoppers and warns the frog of harsh aerial attacks if he goes after them.
Meanwhile a muskrat is keeping cool and collecting lunch for its babies. I thought it was a beaver at first but it was much too small to be a beaver.
The geese families are loving all the grass that summer brings. They are all collecting together. This year there are three different goose families one with two goslings, another with three and the ones my neighbor rescued off her balcony with six. So far my neighbor's goslings are surviving with only one getting picked off by a hawk.
Here's three of them chomping down on fresh greens. They basically take dips in the lake then hop back up to eat and repeat the process all day.

They have to race around and enjoy summer before the winter hits again. It usually only gets around 90F here at the hottest.

Takes a while to rev up in NY. Hopefully no more snow up there this year lol.
it has warmed up and no longer goign to freezing over night so nice days and good temps for walking and of course glad to say no snow :)
Wonderful sunset view. You have captured some amazing bird photography. Those are looking so cool.
My zoom lens does great at filtering out heavy light like the sun. Through the viewfinder it is blinding. Birds are out in force around here.

There will be quite a few geese this year. Hopefully the smaller ones all survive. The other two goose family lost quite a few but so far the ones my neighbor rescued off her balcony have been lasting for a couple weeks.
Let’s hope most will survive…

Quite a few are surviving they've all banded together. So far there are 11 in total between three families.

They have to get all their activities done before winter hits again.
Summer still aways off here. Just now putting plants outside in the garden. We had a frost last week. We have lots of green frogs in the wetlands on the edge of our yard. And some wood frogs but not bull frogs. Maybe too small/shallow. Nice pics 👍
Do you get spring peepers up there? At night the tree frogs are in the zillions around here.
Yep and yep. We get bullfrogs too I just think they need a little bigger waterhole.
