Wednesday morning walk in the garden

So this morning while it was still nice and cool outside , the garden is always in the shadow in the morning south-west facing. Best time of the day to sit in the garden and enjoy your coffee .

This is my contribution to the #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay .

taken with mobile phone

I spotted this bumblebee resting on a purple / pink corn flower while i was walking with my coffee in the garden.

Since the bumblebee was resting i quickly switched cameras, to take another picture with the 2.5 magnification lens

and then i spotted this other smaller bumblebee also resting underneath a flower

I asked the wife nicely if she would take some pictures while i was taking the pictures so that people can see how small the garden actually is and the way i take pictures . Above is when i was taking photos of the bumblebee and below is when i was taking a photo of the Dipsacus fullonum / Teasel / Grote kaardenbol

and this is the photo i took

this is what the flower looks like

the kniphofia was also flowering already

And the Echinops is slowly turning blue /purple

The Salvia has also starting to flower , amazing how a couple of hot days can change your garden.

A closer look at the Salvia flowers

And then something was buzzing around my head and landed near by , yet another bumblebee

This must be the smallest bug i've seen before it sits on a flower bud and on the other side of that flower bud sits a green aphid

Here another one is sitting on a yellow flower still have not found the right name for this bug / beetle . It's probably a Olibrus corticalis but i'm stil waiting on confirmation.

Great seeing you taking these fantastic photos in your lovely garden! ❤️

Thank you Melinda , it's a small garden but big enough for macro photography

Cool to see the cameraman himself in action!
You can see it hasn't been raining for a while.
Nice photos! I love the bee shots!

yeah we could use some rain although i think it will be to late for some plants

I'm collecting 'grey water' from my sink to water the plants.

Beautiful captures… and how great to see the garden, flowers and you in action, so we can relate better how you take the photos too 🤓 thanks!
Have a wonderful Wednesday 👋🏻😊

it ain't a big garden but when you photograph in macro you don't need much , thank you for stopping by.

Klopt… you don’t need much garden when you capture macro.
You are welcome 😎

As always such fantastic captures and great to see both your garden and you at work with your setup

I must buy some pringles, which I enjoy and then see if I can setup it on my flash and then get out with my macro lens and try for some myself

here is a link https://www.wikihow-fun.com/Make-a-Pringles-Can-Macro-Diffuser to get you started , i used a differend angle my self at the end and used the dome from my https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1433988-REG/godox_ak_r1_accessory_kit_for.html that i bought for my other flash head .

thanks for the links I will for sure check them out

Great idea to show us how you actually take all these stunning macros! Do you also post process your pictures? My guess would be you do because they all look perfect. I only shoot with my (old) phone and to make the shots at least semi decent, I always need to edit them :D

@tipu curate

The only post process i do is making sure the images are straight , the dust bunnies are removed, correct light if needed , adjust contrast where needed . And sometimes i convert them to b/w simply because some details are better without the colours.

I see. That´s what I also do. Not a fan of tilted horizons in photos :)

It is difficult to believe that all of your photos are taken there)) I always imagined your garden like another one) Every inch of your garden is discovered)

The diversity in plants is probablly causing that i mostly just have one plant of each specy i photograph.

Wow... the last image of that bumblebee is amazing! Great capture!

thank you , i'm glad you liked it
