A dog walk around the village on a windy summer day.

It's been quite some time since the last time I took my camera with to our daily route around the village. The summer is here and the colors have changed dramatically :) Even though the walk was pretty early in the morning, the sun was already shining in all his glory, the blue is very blue and the low vegetation is no longer green. New flowers and new fruits of the summer season have appeared.

Don't let the clouds fool you. It is a phenomenon of these mountains behind our village that attract clouds. Interesting, isn't it?

This is the first image we see as we begin our walk. It is the nearby village and some more mountains.

Do you remember these beehives? Now they have two, even three floors each. A thriving year for beekeepers.

As we go uphill, the view is getting better and better.

We have strong northern wind these days. That should mean a very clear atmosphere and a perfect weather to take some photos. In reality, the humidity was high and the atmosphere was blurry. But the color of the sea is so blue!

Last winter that was my favorite spot for shooting anemones, not a single sign of life now, the pine tree stands on its own.

This beautiful butterfly accompanied us for a while, she was flying between my hands, then posed and then disappeared.

Let's focus on some plants, green is always good for the soul :)

IMG_7888.jpg

Ok, I'm kidding. There is more than thistle plants, but I love how beautiful they are.

The king of the area this season is the humble wild carrot. There are everywhere and some of them are about 1,5 meters high.

The wild figs are super ready and that's good news for the edible ones that they will be ready soon as well.

So will the pears!

St. John's wort is a famous herbal remedy for depression, but with this yellow color I think it already does a good job just by looking at it.

Thyme is blooming and Cistus creticus still offers us generously the beauty of its flowers.

And back to the view :)

Some more blue :)

After about an hour we are entering the village. A bougainvillea, a cat and some ruins welcome us.

Where is the dog? I see a cat on the last photo. By the way, today we (in Hungary) have heat (currently 36˚C), and there is no wind. Today I stay home.

Haha, you are so right! Well, the dog decided that he has posed for so many posts already and refused to pose this time :)
I hope it is cooler now there! 36˚C is really hot for Hungary!
Till now, the weather is pretty nice in Crete, we should be melting now, but we have a nice breeze (at least where I live!).
Thank you for stopping by!

Wonderful Wednesday walk with the dog up the mountain path, blues seas in two tone make a wonderful sight. Flowers and fruits almost ready to eat, hope you picked a few while out and about!

Butterflies and bees must love this wonderful space where much is plentiful right now.

Summer is the definitely the season of the fruits, and yes I picked some :))
The thyme is blooming now in the area and bees are out working hard, butterflies seem to have another approach on life! But looks like everyone is out there!
Thanks again!

Photography gave a lovely overall feel from the day, life outdoors never ceases to amaze one when we take the time to enjoy!

I love your #WEdnesdayWalk to the village, lovely the beautiful things you encounter along the way.

Especially the view! Breathe in the beauty!

The view does change significantly, doesn't it? From season to season, you can use the same path, but, only the lone pine and the beehive are the same. Look at the butterfly - she is so pretty! Do you know, I have never seen a purple bougainvillea? The color is stunning and it makes a statement paired up with the ruins.

Does your dog like cats? Mine chases them, even our own.

You have an artistic way of seeing, and presenting - even though not perfect, they are perfectly beautiful in their own way. Thank you!

Thank you dear @dswigle! Breath in the beauty, yes! Cause only beauty can save us, right?

It is like a totally different place! It was full of anemones, then daisies, now pretty much nothing, haha!
Purple bougainvillea here is quite common. Especially in my hometown, which is the city of bougainvillea :) I love them in any color!

Markos likes cats, but as a hunting dog, he is attracted by any move. If they stay still (they have to be very brave, haha!) he has great respect of cats and he will try to approach them and play or just ignore them. If they move, then this is a game and he will chase them! He is harmless though, just a bit clumsy and too much excited.

Thank you for your very beautiful comment, always makes my day :)

what a beautiful walk dear friend @traisto, that place is simply magical, what a beautiful view, I love the town and the mountains in the background
Have a beautiful morning

Thank you dear @jlufer! The view is the great advantage of our village, grateful to be able to share it with you :)

Wow, I love the panoramic shots the most! Such a beautiful place to live in and clearly the seasons keep giving it different feels for you. Cool 😎

Thank you @nevies! Exactly, yes, every season feels different and that's great on its own :) Thank you for stopping by!
