First snow and my first winter adventure for 2022 🌨️❄️🌨️

in Wednesday Walk2 years ago (edited)

Hello friends:)

For almost mont, I have been waiting with trepidation and excitement for the first snow to come and to me.Every day I saw my friends from different parts of Bulgaria and abroad sharing beautiful winter white photos. But for me, here snow never wanted to fall. I celebrated Christmas without snow, then I celebrated the new year without snow ... it was really very sad 😢.
I was already completely desperate, but on January 11, nature finally decided to be kind and make me a wonderful winter gift. When I woke up from my sleep and peered out the window, everything was white, a real winter fairy tale. During the night around had accumulated the long-awaited and desired from me snow 🌨️🌨️🌨️❄️❄️❄️.I was extremely happy, and enjoyed the snow as a child. I felt this like a little late but great Christmas gift

And so friends, I already had the snow I dreamed of .It was time to carry out my plan, which I had made in case when it snows out.I am a big fan of nature walks. To feel the true spirit of winter, I have planned , when snowing to make a great walk to various attractions in the vicinity of my city. The walk really turned out was unique, and to feels you too, the spirit of winter and the emotions I experienced, today I will share this walk with you all.

At 9:30 in the morning, I am already in front of the house of my good friend Tony, who is always my accomplice in such adventures.

We go to refuel in the car, then we are ready to go.

4.jpg

My plan to visit some of the most popular tourist destinations in the area, which are located about 10 km from the city.

6.jpg

7.jpg

8.jpg

9.jpg

Our first goal is the so-called stone houses, which are a very popular tourist destination.
On the way we stop briefly at the entrance of the stone garden. There is also a short and very exotic eco-trail, but at the moment due to the snow and cold it is icy and dangerous to cross, so we will miss it.

I will show you this beautiful trail in the future at the right and nice weather. And now we continue to the stone houses, which are very close.

After about 2 minutes of driving we are already there.

From here we head to the other bank of the river, where there is another popular destination, namely the rock monastery of St. Nicholas.

There are absolutely no traces around. The snow is virgin and we are the first visitors to come here today.

There is also a short eco trail at the foot of the rocks. Due to security reasons, due to the snow and ice, we will also not go on it again.

6.jpg

We will leave our car here and continue our walk a few kilometers on the forest road.

7.jpg

This is my favorite walking route. I come here very often all year round. Today is my first winter walk on my favorite route and I am extremely happy.

Here the nature is incredibly beautiful in all seasons, but now that everything is white from the snow it is really impressive. Tony and I took great snow photos. I hope that you will also feel the winter spirit of nature when you watch them.

After about 2 hours of walking and photos it is time to return to our car, and set off to the next destination of my preliminary plan.

20220111_134407.jpg

Following my plan, we head to the panoramic rock gazebo, which is located high in the rocks a few kilometers from here.

53.jpg

54.jpg

55.jpg

56.jpg

57.jpg

Although the gazebo is high on the rocks, there is a road that is possible go driving even by car.

59.jpg

Along the way we see traces of cars, apparently other enthusiasts like us have already was gone at morning to the gazebo before us.

This place is also very popular and is one of the most desirable places for a picnic at the weekend.

The time is progressing fast and it is already 14:00 in the afternoon, and our walk is only in the middle. After taking these wonderful photos here, and managed to relax after a long walk near the monastery, it's time to head to our next destination

Today I am definitely in the mood . The reason for my good mood, of course, is the snow, and I can't wait to show you all these beautiful places around in all their winter splendor.

And so we go off to our next goal - The national cave house "Peter Tranteev".

20220112_131233.jpg

20220112_131504.jpg

20220112_131508.jpg

The cave house is on the list of one hundred national tourist sites in Bulgaria. In principle, here every tourist can get a stamp that he has visited the site.

20220112_131200.jpg

Unfortunately, due to the frivolous and negligent attitude of the current owners, the cave house is currently closed and not functioning. At the moment the place is empty, we are meet only a few frozen and hungry guard dogs.

20220112_131035.jpg

20220112_132616.jpg

20220112_132620.jpg

The cave house itself is a unique building of its kind. She is literally built perched on the rocks. There in the cave house have a rooms for accommodation, a restaurant, a seminar hall and a sports hall.I had a great desire to take pictures and show you all this, but unfortunately, as I told you, the hut is currently closed and not working 😫.
However, we will walk outside in the area around the building, which is also very beautiful and offers great scenery and scenic landscapes of the surrounding area.

20220112_131244.jpg

20220112_131122.jpg

The cave is our last destination for today's walk, so now it's time to go there.

20220112_133748.jpg

On the way to the cave, we stop briefly at a beautiful and fabulous little stone house.

1.jpg

2.jpg

5.jpg

This house plays the role of an information center for the visitors.

3.jpg

For help to the tourists Inside there is a guide route map, as well as a large book of photos and brief interesting information about all the most popular destinations in the area.

4.jpg

Here too we meet a frozen and hungry dog with whom we shared the rest of our lunch.

That's all from me for this Wednesday. Have a nice day everyone, be healthy!

Sort:

What an amazing post glad you got snow and also that you got to some places before anyone else did so no signs of footprints making a beautiful winter wonderland
The views from the gazebo are so special but wow those caves and the light through the eyes of gif feature are so special

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

Thank you @tattoodjay! I wanted to include some videos in the post that I did during the walk. Unfortunately, the dapplr is full of bugs, ran away and was constantly causing me problems. I'm sorry I couldn't add the videos and make the post even more interesting and attractive.

I noticed the videos weren’t there but even without them it is a great post

Wow I am almost speechless (maybe I'm so frozen after looking at all that snow...🤣..)

No, just kidding, but that was just the epitome of brilliant post and such scene of stunning, truly breathtaking scenery!

When you're out in the middle of nowhere like that and everything is covered in snow, how on earth do you know where you are?!?!?!

I'm definitely going to have a another look at that again tomorrow when it's going to be 30c so I don't freeze while I'm looking...🤣

Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more next Wednesday!

Maybe next Wednesday I should do a post for one of my also unique summer walks to you can keep warm after so much snow and cold weather today 😜

Haaaaa that sounds like my kind of walk! 🤣

We finally got into summer and I'm now sitting here tonight (well it's now after 1am..) with my ugg boots and jumper on! How rude!

I look forward to seeing your summers there and one day IRL would be nice too! 😃

Thank you for sharing @vaketo. Enjoy the SNOW ❄️

Thank you very much @littlebee4! Thanks also to nature for this gift! I was able to enjoy the snow even if only for a few days. At the moment there is no mention of this snow here 😃

What a good adventure!

Уникално!! Браво!!!

Благодаря 😃!

Very interesting, and I bet the Architecture + Design Community here might enjoy a look at those stone houses. Thank you for posting.
