Interesting. I traveled through this region in 2012. Diyarbakir was amazing, I would be happy to come back one day. A huge fortress and a Medieval town in it, with a maze of lanes.

Great, I'm glad you saw these places. Diyarbakır is truly a wonderful city. It has witnessed many different civilizations and cultures. Mardin is the same way.
I hope you'll have the opportunity to come back here again.
I've been to Mardin, and also Sanliurfa. Both are wonderful places.
