For a long time I wanted to watch "Sleepy Hollow" with Johnny Depp in the title role, but delayed the viewing. I realized that I was a little late, and the film had to be watched at the age of 16. Hah.
Not that the film is too naive, but there are a couple of points. A pleasant fairy tale directed by Tim Burton about a headless horseman, filled with a magical atmosphere, an impressive artistic component, incredible scenery and natural costumes from the 17th century.
An interesting legend about a fearless warrior who lost his head in another battle and, after many years, rebelled and began to take revenge. By the way, the film has a good detective component: until the last moment I did not know who the criminal was.
Now about what looked strange:
The main character, a seemingly fearless, experienced detective, seemed slightly impressionable.How can one investigate bloody crimes and faint at the sight of a rider without a head?)
How can one be afraid of blood to a daze and at the same time skillfully do an autopsy of a dead man without a head? I think Johnny was too young for this role.
These are the pros and cons, but overall good.
If you do not know until the last moment who the criminal really is, then the director and scriptwriters did a good job!
