Greetings, this work started as a portrait where I wanted to add my personal touch, something very extravagant and beautiful, I made a somewhat colorful clown makeup using pink tones, exploring these colors since I do not usually use them much, another interesting feature is that I challenge myself myself to do it using only one brush, in this case using only the watercolor brush for absolutely everything, I like the way you can mix the colors using only this tool, the result was what we will see next, I hope that they like it.

Saludos, este trabajo comenzó como un retrato donde quise agregarle mi toque personal, algo muy extravagante y hermoso se me ocurrió realizarle un maquillaje de payaso algo colorido usando tonos rosas, explorando estos colores ya que no suelo usarlos mucho, otra característica interesante es que me rete a mí misma a hacerlo usando solamente un pincel, en este caso usando solamente el pincel de acuarela para absolutamente todo, me gusto la manera en que se puedes mezclar los colores usando solamente esta herramienta, el resultado fue el que veremos a continuación, espero que les guste.

Process / Proceso.

To start my drawing, I was practicing and seeing some techniques to make the sketch easier, I discovered that using a brush like the airbrush and making the shapes looser without trying so much just locating each element where it is supposed to go only to guide me It is much easier, normally I wanted the sketch to be perfect for me the first time and I made many mistakes that in the end erased and redo again, in this case I started to make the figure of the face freely without it being perfect, then I located the eyes, nose and mouth, finally add the shoulder and part of her back once I had it ready modify its size and center the image, on top of this sketch I started to draw lines a little cleaner (I still do not make perfect lines however I have noticed quite a big improvement) ready this step I started to paint with the watercolor brush adding the dark and light tones according to my criteria, the next step was to blur these tones lowering the opacity of the brush and mixing them with each other so little by little I was building this drawing the makeup occurred to me when I had the face ready explore some options and the one I liked the most was this, everything else came to my imagination as it went advancing until finishing this work.

Para comenzar mi dibujo, estuve practicando y viendo algunas técnicas para poder hacer el boceto más simple, descubrí que usando un pincel como el de aerógrafo y haciendo las formas más sueltas sin esforzarme tanto solamente ubicando cada elemento donde se supone que debe ir solo para guiarme es mucho más fácil, normalmente quería que el boceto me quedara perfecto a la primera y cometía muchos errores que al final borraba y volvía a rehacer, en este caso comencé a hacer la figura del rostro libremente sin que quedase perfecta, luego ubique los ojos, la nariz y la boca, finalmente agregue su hombro y parte de su espalda una vez que lo tenía listo modifique su tamaño y centre la imagen, encima de este boceto comencé a trazar líneas un poco más limpias (aun no hago líneas perfectas sin embargo he notado una mejoría bastante grande) listo este paso comencé a pintar con el pincel de acuarela añadiendo los tonos oscuros y claros según mi criterio, el siguiente paso fue difuminar estos tonos bajando la opacidad del pincel y mezclándolos unos con otros así poco a poco fui construyendo este dibujo el maquillaje se me ocurrió cuando ya tenía listo el rostro explore algunas opciones y la que más me gusto fue esta, todo lo demás vino a mi imaginación según iba avanzando hasta terminar este trabajo.

¡Hola Alexa! Paso a comentarte que me topé con este post y me gustó mucho tu trabajo. La ilustración en general me encantó, pero más en específico me gustaron los iris de la chica y el maquillaje rosa alrededor de sus ojos; ambos rasgos se ven geniales.

Ah y está interesante la información que pusiste. Muy buen dato curioso el de que solo usaste un pincel. Y la forma en la que describes que intentaste simplificar la etapa de hacer el boceto también está interesante porque me identifiqué cuando hablaste de que a veces dedicas mucho tiempo a hacer un boceto, cuando fácilmente podría tomarte menos tiempo. Así que es algo que voy a probar también con mis bocetos. ¡Gracias por compartir este contenido! :D
