I really like the idea of using an artwork as design for useful things. So many things we can buy today are only functional; that's part of their design and that's art too in a way, but a painting from the hand of an artist is so much more personal :)

I agree @anafae and I love decorative things as well and would definitely consider myself a maximalist more than minimalist haha.
