Creative Process of my First Demo Painting

This is the first time I have painted entirely in oil on paper and I really like the result.
The drying speed makes alla prima easier than painting on canvas, but the only thing I am not sure about is the durability of this type of painting.
It's not about durability for me, it's about bringing back the creative spirit in me, so I challenge myself to paint with oil colours on paper every day.

Before I did the painting, I did some sketches with pencil and another coloured medium that I have, but I hadn't used it before, so I decided to try it out to see what it could do, and I realise that it's a bit difficult to work with, or it doesn't necessarily give me the kind of effect I want in a painting - it was cool to try it out though.

This is how the crayon colour sketch looks like.. I just like the busy lines here.

And for my pen sketch, this is actually a self portrait that I am practicing with, I have been a lover of stroking with pen.
