Hello friends !
Today I present to you the cat that I transformed into a sticker at the end of this post,
because it is never too late to celebrate #caturday in a joyful and colorful way! 😉
I always like to start the traditional way with a sheet of paper and my Neocolor watercolor pastels,
then finish with the digital phase ... I like both phases equally, so it's double pleasure 😺
You can see below the different steps of the traditional drawing and painting of my #caturday character,
starting with a pencil draw on a sheet,
then a layer of white gesso because I will use aquasoluble wax pastels so I want my support to be non porous
I create some shades by blending the felt pens with a Q-tip, I don't do to much because I know I will add them digitally in the next phase...
So once my cat is finished, I scan him and import in my Artrage painting software, and below you can see what transformations I have made in addition to more in-depth work on facial volumes

But it's not finished as my aim was to create a digital sticker,
the kind I like to stick in my comments or in my post,
in short, EVERYWHERE

It is interesting to see the process of your creation especially to learn that you use gesso before coloring. Seeing the final image it is difficult to imaging how many steps in the work and of course your fantasy. Really lovely cat :)
Great that that you appreciate to see the process @stef1 !I think I use Gesso whatever the support I'm painting on, even if it is a canvas that is already prepared, because I like the smoothness of the surface it gives me for the coloring I more enjoy that way...😉
