Cecilia Dietrich - Gift of Winter, Oil on 12x30cm Wood, Jan 2021

This is the first painting in the row of the four seasons that I've been working on for quite a while.

Obviously, it is the season winter and also the element water. Rather than getting annoyed due to the cold and darkness, this winter I was focusing on the quality and wisdom that it brings and really trying to get deeply in touch with it.

As I understand it so far winter is all about going inward and digest everything that happened in the year and beyond. Because it is cold and dark outside our attention is not that much on the outside world and in this way we can shift towards the things that are happening inside of us, all the emotions, thoughts, pain, our body, wishes, visions, memories everything that moves us.

It is a time for reflection, integration, rest and stillness as well as healing - all that needs to be seen and heard in order to be ready for the spring and the new seeds that are gonna be planted. Just like nature, she shed all leaves and withdrew completely into a deep sleep and is now gathering new energy in order to sprout in spring.

Do you like winter? How does this time in year move you? Share below.

Wish you a wonderful evening!πŸ’™

So exited to see this one. I agree with you. I feel it starts around the full moon to October or the new moon in November when I experience these intense precognitive states. Really excited to see all the seasons and how you will have depicted them. I feel you are a very spiritually tuned person who is in sync. I experienced you like that when we met as well.

Thank you so much @yangyanje for your words and being excited to see it. And thank you for sharing your experience. Very interesting! I can feel it around the Equinox that it's getting quieter, also the focus on tuning inward, releasing and letting go of anything that is no longer serving. And then with the Winter Solstice it's a step further into stillness and slowing down and really integrating everything that happened. You appeared to me like that as well. Looking forward to meeting you soon! πŸ™βœ¨
