RE: 10 Minute Pencil Sketch While I Slept

I completely agree! A lot of people see art and say oh so pretty. They fail to see the hours of work put into it. One drawing or painting can be 30 or 50 hours of work. And you might have 50 to 100 to 200 during a life time. Which can mean 10000 or more hours of work! Work. Not just talent. I think artists really deserve respect and people looking at art should try to make the effort to see beyond the nice colours and appreciate the hard work. Few do that. I have yet to meet someone in real life to genuinely appreciate my art and say to me "I can see the hours of work. I can see the dedication." I have not met someone in real life willing to promote and understand my art like I would wish. I congratulate you for doing this for your wife and supporting her. It is really a gesture of respect and appreciation for all of her hard work.

Art is not for everybody to understand and appreciate. Which after all is not that bad. Selection made through the way you see people react to your art tells you things about them too.
