Today's post is one of my favorite commissions
A client of mine requested a commissioned piece relating to a personal piece I've once created in the past, after combining ideas all around I was able to come to a conclusion which birthed this beautiful portrait.
The very dark background was created using black acrylic paint. I blended the hair out into the black background using charcoal also same technique for the skin. Highlights using electric eraser, white charcoal pencil brought out the water drip and droplets effect. The flowers were created with acrylic same as the butterfly.
The size of this piece is 40inches by 50inches.

Absolutely incredible! I thought this was a collage on top of a photograph. Would be very interesting to see the process of drawing the figure's head and torso. Exceptional work. 😊
