hi! I want to share you the last animation I've done.
It is inspired by the steampunk trend, a science fiction branch that told tales about future technology, but based on victorian steam tech, so it mixes past aesthetics with extraordinary artifacts.

first I started drawing the shapes on adobe illustrator, I always draw using the mouse.

I added some details from the face

now lets draw the hair! I'm trying some vintage look

Now, let's dive into after effects, a software for animations.
I'm animating the gears from the machine inside the head. I have split the head into two parts, so I will animate it too.
I have all the shapes in different layers, so I can animate them easily.

animating fog is always challenging, here I used a mix of shapes, noise and distort filters to do this

and the final touch, I also added shadows to the layers, so it will have more depth.

I also added some dirt to recreate the old film tapes effect.
