I've been a fan of black comic acts since Eddie Murphy. When I was quite little, I grew up seeing loads of Eddie Murphy movies. My favorite was "Coming to America".
Since Eddie Murphy, there's been a consistent flow of black comic acts. Martin Lawrence, Will Smith, Chris Rock, Chris Tucker, etc. Amazing people.
Someone is holding it down in that department now; Kevin Hart. Kevin is a really smart comedian and I love his personality. Some people don't find him funny and I'm puzzled when I hear people say that. Well, I've come to understand that not everyone's sense of humour is the same thing.
My love for Kevin Hart pushed me to draw a portrait of him, and I also planned it as a medium to reach out to him. Unfortunately it didn't get to him. I was hoping though. Anyway, nothing's a waste.
