So I decided to try something out.
I did a pen drawing using two different methods.
Please let me know which one is your favourite.
See the steps for each drawing here:
FIRST DRAWING.
For this one, I started with scribbling for the first layer. The first layer is light with no much pressure on the pen.
Then I proceeded to the second layer, leaving out where there are highests. The second layer is a little dark.
I added some contrast to the very day areas, still using scribbling.
To finish it, I used cross-hatching to make it smooth.
SECOND DRAWING
For this second drawing, I started with hatching for the first layer. The first layer is light with no much pressure on the pen.
The second layer is cross-hatching with a little pressure on the pen.
Then I finished it with scribbling.
