Small Engine (Repair)

in OnChainArt4 years ago

This is a recently finished painting I made using photoshop. I found myself quite attracted to this space one day when my wife and I were on a mission to find some fine mesh screen. Immediately the color, light, and build up of industrial parts resonated with me. At that moment I was able to snap a couple quick, yet blurry shots with my cellphone to examine at home. After seeing those images I made another trip back and took some better reference photos of the space as well as the owner to start doing some work from. Hopefully, you all like this piece as much as I do. I have included two detail shots for your consideration.

Love the background! It's indeed an interesting place to paint.

Great work. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks @doodle.danga. For a while in my working, not art making, life I was employed at an industrial supply shop. we didn't have engines, turbines, generators, molds, and dies, but we did have all sorts of tools for the machining process. Seeing all the above just resonated with me and it felt natural to make some work about it.

I see, then it's way more interesting for you, and that's what makes the artwork so good. Done with passion and dedication.
