Hello everyone! it's been a while since I made another blog, I was so busy making paintings for my upcoming exhibits and I just had to focus on it. Fortunately, I already have the time to blog because I finished some of it.
So I will share my process of making this artwork,
At first, I was struggling with my concept, then I remember one client asked me that she wanted to have a t'boli tribe painted since she saw my posts about my LAKE SEBU TRAVEL then I thought, yeah why not and I wanted to explore other tribes other than my Bukidnon Artworks.
I haven't thought of what it would look like, so I'm thinking as I paint. There's so much arguing going on in my mind with what compositions or other subjects I should put in, to the point it wears my mind out and end up not getting any progress done, but of course, I'd go back to painting again to try and figure things out.
I also did some readings of the tribes so I can confidently put what I think is right on it, there are a lot of changes along the way but still, it went well eventually hahaha
I wasn't confident with the idea of dark red and green background (see the first picture). so I decided to color it in full green.
as you can see the gesture has also changed, I wanted my subject to do something in line with the t'boli culture and I remember women in their culture do drums so, I formed it like this than letting it sit only.
in the previous picture, the figure was sitting on a lily pad, but it doesn't look like one so I decided to change it to a wavy water doodle.
It took some time to do the wavy water doodles but it's satisfying to look at once it's done, and I then started doing lines in the clothes, getting ready to doodle some patterns of the t'boli tribes.
and here is the progress of its doodle and patterns, it wasn't easy actually, it took me 3 weeks to finish doodling them.
and here's a picture of what my studio looks like, though it changes position from time to time to find comfortable arrangements.

hahaha sana nga mabenta eh, in my experience po is, apply as an artist sa gallery if gusto nila yong artwork nyo po, e hire ka nila as their artist tapos exhibit ka lang po ng exhibit and if na sosold po yong works, lumalaki yong value.. haha so far yan po experience ko..
