I know, I worked with bands myself for a number of years. It's fun, creative, but rarely pays well, because the bands themselves are making next to swot.
Mind you, a friend of mind did hit it big time. He ended up working with Powder Finger. Although that still did not make him a rich man. He still had to do the usual bog standard video work for most of his work.
So have you started planning or scripting your short film?

Great news for your friend. Working with more established bands is rewarding, as the fan engagement is usually really meaningful and plentiful.
I’ve got the seed of an idea for a film which I’m exploring and making notes about.
I want to do it properly; it needs to be coherent and purposeful. I’ve spent years being more abstract and for my work not necessarily needing a clear narrative. But I want the challenge of exploring a character with a motivation that is relatable and explores some ideas like social identity, fame, regret and technology.
Time will tell if I get things moving with it!
I’ve got a great local actor in mind and up for it
