Small Things Can Make a Big Difference

I had been selling graphite or conte figure study drawings for a while already. They sold, it was OK. But some how I was feeling the collectors wanted something more, so I started adding backgrounds, very simple ones at first, just simple shading. Voila! The collectors loved them. It's interesting how simple small changes can make such a big impact.

Thank you!

Small details make the biggest difference, even though it may sound counterintuitive.

It's the polish that makes the bling bling.

Beautiful work, specially the details of light.

Thank you Alejandra!

It really is! For this one I think it definitely added more to the mood the pose seems to be expressing. Probably took quite a bit out of your stick though? XD

Yes, this one needed a bit extra to add to the mood.
Large areas of shading can indeed be monotonous.

This drawings of yours are truly great Leo.

This is truly impressive! I'm a photography and one of the things I focus on is creative portraits. If you ever wanted to draw a portrait of mine, I would be honored!

Emotive, pure and sincere. Good job.
