Estos días he estado practicando otra vez con la tinta, con esto del #inktober me he motivado un poco a practicar con ella otra vez, aunque en estos momentos hay muchos problemas con el inktober ya que hay una polémica con Jake Parker y un montón de movidas de las que prefiero no hablar porque no es el objetivo de este post.
Como te iba comentando quiero poder subir mi nivel con este material para poder hacer artes con una calidad mucho mejor, la tinta es de los materiales que mejor manejo junto con las acuarelas y el grafito, me gustaría poder comprar unos acrílicos y poder practicar con ellos también pero por ahora me dedicaré mejorar mi técnica con la tinta.

These days I have been practicing again with ink, with this #inktober I have been a little motivated to practice with this material again, although right now there are a lot of problems with the inktober as there is a controversy with Jake Parker and a lot of movements that I prefer not to talk about because it is not the goal of this post.
As I said I want to be able to raise my level with this material to be able to make art with a much better quality, ink is one of the materials that I best handle along with watercolors and graphite, I would like to be able to buy some acrylics and be able to practice with them too but for now I will dedicate myself to improve my technique with ink.
La ilustración que te quiero mostrar hoy la hice para un amigo y colega ilustrador llamado Axel, en su cuenta de instagram tiene trabajos muy brutales así que aquí se las dejo por si quieren ir a verlo.
The illustration I want to show you today I made for a friend and fellow illustrator named Axel, on your instagram account has very brutal works so here I leave them, in case you want to go see it.
La idea que tenía era hacer un retrato bastante sencillo, acompañado de un caimán ya que Axel me comentó que si podía introducir este animal en la ilustración iba a ser un toque bastante interesante. El boceto principal tenía otra forma pero luego de pensarlo y pasarlo al papel terminó siendo esto que ves en las fotos.
De verdad que hacer texturas con la tinta china es super brutal, le da un toque muy orgánico a la ilustración, así que decidí hacer el fondo con una textura de aguada de tinta y tramas de grafito para combinar ahí los dos materiales. Me gusta mucho como quedó la textura de los caimanes luego de trabajarlos durante un buen rato el resultado me pareció bastante genial.
The idea I had was to make a rather simple portrait, accompanied by an alligator since Axel told me that if I could introduce this animal into the illustration it would be a rather interesting touch. The main sketch had another shape, but after thinking about it and moving it to paper it ended up being what you see in the photos.
Actually making textures with Chinese ink is super brutal, gives a very organic touch to the illustration, so I decided to make the background with an aqueous texture of ink and graphite frames to combine the two materials there. I really like the way the alligator texture looks, after working for a while the result was quite fresh.
Materials | Materiales
Los materiales que usé para esta ilustración fueron tinta china, agua, y grafito, como soporte usé una cartulina bristol, el tamaño es de 16 cm de largo y 12 cm de ancho.
The materials I used for this illustration were Chinese ink, water, and graphite, as a stand I used a bristol cardboard, the size is 16 cm long and 12 cm wide.
- The Sketch | El Boceto
Para el boceto como mencioné antes tenía en mente otra ilustración, (la de la izquierda) pero al final decidí hacer la derecha, en esa versión incorporaba los caimanes de una manera bastante interesante. Aunque podría hacer la otra ilustración para un próximo post y luego una comparación de 2.
For the sketch as I mentioned before I had in mind another illustration, (the one on the left) but in the end I decided to make the right, in that version I incorporated alligators in a rather interesting way. Although I could do the other illustration for an upcoming post and then a comparison of 2.
- Time to the ink | Hora de la tinta
Ya luego de que tenía el boceto listo comencé a trabajar con la tinta, para ello fui haciendo la línea de algunas partes y luego comencé a ir manchando zonas con aguada para generar una textura bien interesante que me serviría de unión con la textura de los caimanes.
Already after having the sketch ready I started working with the ink, for this I went making the line of some parts and then I started to make stains in certain areas with water to generate a very interesting texture that served as a union with the texture of the alligators.
De esta ultima a la siguiente se me olvidó tomar mas fotos hasta casi terminar la ilustración jajajaja por eso el cambio entre una y otra imagen es bastante notorio, ya aquí había hecho el fondo con aguadas y lo siguiente que hice fue pintar lo que me faltaba del rostro, el borde del marco y cortar el excedente de cartulina para ya quedarme con el formato real de la ilustración.
From the last photo to the next I forgot to take more photos until I almost finished the illustration hahaha so the change between one and the other image is quite noticeable, already here I had done the background and the next thing I did was paint what I lacked of the face, the edge of the frame and cut the excess support to already maintain the actual format of the illustration.
Por ultimo les dejo un video que hice de la ilustración, ya creo que se va a volver parte de todos mis post hacer vídeos como este, quedan bastante geniales.
