We know that life is not monochromatic, when we talk about interpretations we can observe a variety of shades.
According to google, the definition of Interpret is:
Transitive verb.
- To give or attribute to something, a determined meaning. "interpret dreams"
- To explain or clarify the meaning of something, especially a text that is unclear. "Jurists interpret laws".

Understanding the meaning of this word, we could think that we are all interpreters, hmmm, really?
What motivated me to write on the subject of interpretation?
When I worked as a graphic designer I was used to try to understand what the client wants or needs to transmit, leaving aside, my taste or orientation towards that work, just suggestions. The raison d'être of a designer is to understand the client "since the client is ALWAYS right" and to represent graphically in the best possible way, according to his criteria, under our experience and knowledge.
This interpretation goes beyond what you can imagine, since the client often knows what they "DO NOT WANT" and they do not know "WHAT THEY WANT".
That "giving meaning" to "what is not known" is very hard. You should hire Sherlock Holmes. That lack of meaning or clarity interferes with artist/client communication.
You make 3 sketches, we set up a meeting, and the client decides he wants a hybrid of the 3 sketches. I come back to the question: Could you identify what you like about the 3 sketches and what you don't like, to make the final artwork?

It seems that I am asking the Riemann hypothesis in German or maybe I am speaking in some extinct language.
Looking at the synonyms, I see that the designer's work, with this type of client can become a riddle to decipher their conflict and "fast because the job was for yesterday", or it could become the work of a fortune teller with a crystal ball that sees the uncertain future .... the point is that more than the fact of "designing" our job is to interpret what the client wants to express.
I don't know if it was bad luck or a lot of complicated clients. What did happen is that I started to think that "the client is NOT right" and that's when the dilemma began ....
I took a deep breath ....
because I knew that behind that there was something else ....
What about interpreting?
Who do I want to or should I interpret?
What bothers me about interpreting clients, these are philosophical questions that popped into my head more and more frequently ....
Life has led me to understand that one's job, if it is to be an interpreter or translator, is to understand the communication that exists between you and your soul, between your being and your expectations.
I invite you to participate in your self-interpretation, which is the starting point to be at peace, to decipher the incognitas of the mind, to understand the situations you are going through, to express accurately what you feel and to be able to create and execute all that your soul needs to do, that is what makes you an artist of life.
And consequently you will understand, comprehend and decipher "the client" because "SOMETIMES the client is right".

Bien sabemos que la vida no es monocromática, cuando hablamos de interpretaciones podemos observar toda una variedad de matizes.

Entendiendo el significado de esta palabra, podríamos pensar que todos somos interpretes, hmmm, de verdad?
Qué me motivó a escribir del tema de la interpretación?
Cuando trabajaba como diseñadora gráfica estaba acostumbrada a intentar comprender lo que el cliente quiere ó necesita transmitir, dejando aparte, mi gusto u orientación hacia ese trabajo, solo sugerencias. La razón de ser de un diseñador es entender al cliente “ ya que el cliente SIEMPRE tiene la razón” y representar graficamente de la mejor forma posible, según su criterio, bajo nuestra experiencia y conocimiento.
Esta interpretación va a más allá de lo que se pueden imaginar, ya que el cliente muchas veces lo que sabe es lo que “NO QUIERE” y no saben “LO QUE QUIEREN”
Ese “darle significado” a “lo que no se sabe” es muy duro. Debería de contratar a Sherlock Holmes. Esa falta de significado o claridad interfiere en la comunicación artista / cliente.
Se realizan 3 bocetos, quedamos en una reunión, y el cliente decide que quiere un hibrido de los 3 bocetos. Vuelvo con la pregunta: Podrías identificar que te gusta de los 3 bocetos y que no te gusta, para realizar el arte final?
No hay respuesta ...
Pareciera que estuviera preguntando la hipótesis de Riemann en alemán o será que estoy hablando en alguna lengua extinta.
Viendo los sinónimos, veo que el trabajo de diseñador, con este tipo de cliente se puede convertir en un acertijo para descifrar su conflicto y “rápido porque el trabajo era para ayer”, o podría convertirse en el trabajo de un adivino con una bola de cristal que ve el fututo incierto .... el punto es que más que el hecho de “diseñar” nuestro trabajo es interpretar lo que el cliente quiere expresar.
Nose si fue, mala suerte o muchos clientes complicados. Lo que si pasó es que comencé a pensar que “el cliente NO tiene la razón” y ahí comenzo el dilema ....
Respiré profundo ....
porque sabía que detrás de eso existía algo más ....
Qué pasa con la interpretación?
A quién quiero o debo interpretar?
Qué me molesta de interpretar a los clientes?, Son preguntas filosóficas que aparecían en mi cabeza, cada vez con más frecuencia ....
La vida me llevo a entender, que el trabajo de uno si es el ser interprete o traductor, es entender la comunicación que existe entre tu persona y el alma, entre tu ser y tu expectativa.
Les invito a ser participes en su autointerpretación, que viene siendo el punto de partida para estar en paz, descifrar las incognitas de la mente, entender las situaciones que estás atravezando, expresar acertivamente lo que sientes y poder crear y ejecutar todo lo que tu alma necesita hacer, eso es lo que te hace un artista de la vida.
Y por consecuencia entenderás, comprenderás y descifrarás “al cliente” porque “A VECES el cliente tiene razón”
