I'm excited to reveal the recent custom engagement ring box. Using Nomad Sculpt app on my tablet, I digitally crafted this charming Chip and then brought him to life through 3D printing in resin. Throughout the sculpting process, I worked closely with my customer to capture Chip's lively essence authentically. Our goal was to portray his cheerful character so I designed him with a beaming smile, wide-open eyes, and gently raised brows. Crafting an asymmetrical face and a subtly curved nose further emphasized his spirited nature.
Chip radiates such positivity that the tea inside him seems to be in perpetual motion. He's animated, with droplets forming as he energetically moves around. These droplets serve a dual purpose: they fashion a handle, facilitating the lifting of the lid to reveal the concealed diamond ring inside. To achieve this effect, I created a silicone mold of this component and cast it in translucent resin. The remaining parts were 3D printed and sanded to a polished finish.
