Mattancherry, Fort Kochi

Today I painted this street pic from Mattancherry in Fort Kochi as part of my one point perspective assignment.

Sketch

I modified the sky a bit to have few summer clouds. The image has bright sunlight and thought that will add some more dimension to it

Next the far buildings in background

Started painting the buildings on right next and then finally the left ones. Vehicles were the last

Total time 3hrs
A3 size 440 gsm handmade cotton paper

Finally realised that the Street had to be narrower. I also missed adding texture to the road and footpaths and perhaps add more people to make it look busy... Looks like half an he more time to be spent on it.. may add it tomorrow if time permits 😊

Very Nice piece. The process documentation or arithmetics, the depth of perspective and the theme itself because it reminds me of India in a very profound way. I seem to have memories of maruti 800's and these old vans and ambassadors. Since everything changes there so fast, it's like you really froze time in this one.
