Making a portrait using chalks.

I felt like doing a portrait. I wanted to make a kind old time girl using some white and blue chalk. I did not use a reference picture and maybe I should of taken the time to find one that is copyright free. I am saying this becase as I look back at it, I see that the proportions are not the way they should be...the left eye is just too big, or the right one is just too small. Eitherway, it was fun to draw as I concentrated parts by parts to try to get a more lifelike result, I just got to keep in mind the global image 😅. I think the hat looks pretty good 👍

This was done yesterday evening, but was a bit reluctant to post it. I am already drawing a new same style portrait and the proportions are much better.

Here are some progress pics

To master the drawing, a long practice is necessary but you're on the right track 😀

😃 Cool!! Thanks!

very nice draw! the more we draw the same thing over and over the better we get. And honestly, your proportions are pretty good, tho slightly off, it kinda seems to fit well. I like it :)

Very nice of you to say this, and true : repetition makes better. I appreciate, thanks!
