URÓBOROS - LIFE AND DEATH | FIRST TIME USING WATERCOLORS [ENG/ESP]
Hello HIVE 🖖🏼😁 I hope everyone is doing well doing some creative activity 🎨🖌️.
Hola HIVE 🖖🏼😁 espero que todos se encuentren muy bien haciendo alguna actividad creativa 🎨🖌️.
A few weeks ago I acquired some materials for artistic creation, among those materials there was a set of 12 watercolors 🎨🖌️, this would be the first time I will use those pigments; I am in a research process in search of my own plastic language, to achieve it I have to experiment and do research throughout the process, that is why I decided to do my first practice using watercolors to understand this majestic artistic technique a little better 😋.
Hace unas semanas atras adquirí algunos materiales para la creación artística, entre esos materiales había un set de 12 acuarelas 🎨🖌️, esta sería la primera vez que usaré esos pigmentos; estoy en un proceso de investigación en la búsqueda de mi propio lenguaje plástico, para lograrlo tengo que experimenta y hacer investigaciones en todo el proceso, por eso decidí hacer mi primera práctica usando acuarelas para comprender un poco mejor esta majestuosa técnica artística 😋.
A while ago I found the base of an old cut tree trunk in the Caobos park in Caracas, I loved seeing the process of life and death that was manifested on that scene; I called that moment that I witnessed URÓBOROS and I captured several photographs, but I couldn't stay with that alone, so I decided to get creative and make my own version of that scene using watercolors 🎨🖌️.
Hace un tiempo me encontré con la base de un viejo tronco de arbol cortado en el parque de los Caobos en caracas, me encanto ver el proceso de vida y muerte que se manifestaba sobre esa escena; a ese instante que presencié lo llame URÓBOROS capture varías fotografías, pero no me podía quedar solo con eso, así que decidí ponerme creativo y realizar mi propia versión de esa escena utilizando las acuarelas 🎨🖌️.
Since I don't have much experience using this artistic technique, first I watched several videos on the internet with some tips to apply the pigment effectively, then I started applying the brown color; What I love about watercolors is that textures are achieved very easily, just with the base color the texture of the wood already looked good 😌.
Como no tengo mucha experiencia usando esta técnica artística, primero ví varios vídeos en internet de algunos tips para aplicar el pigmento con eficacia, luego comencé a aplicar el color marrón; lo que me encanta de las acuarelas es que se logran texturas con muchísima facilidad, solo con el color base ya tenía buen aspecto la textura de la madera 😌.
Something I learned from watching the videos on the internet is that you have to apply the pigment in layers, that way, layer by layer I impregnated the canvas with different shades of green to create the effect of moss, the life that was born from death in this scene 😁. Lastly I added a light yellow layer and highlighted several details to illuminate 😌.
Algo que aprendí viendo los videos en internet es que hay que aplicar el pigmento por capas, de esa manera, capa a capa fui impregnando el lienzo de diferentes tonalidades de color verde para ir creando el efecto del musgo, la vida que nació de la muerte en esta escena 😁. De ultimo agregué una ligera capa en color amarillo y remarque varios detalles para iluminar 😌.
Then I focused on the background of the scene, I began to apply a fairly warm brown color, since I did not do the work on paper suitable for working with watercolors, the paper wrinkled, I had to wait for the paper to dry before I could apply the next layer of color, I had to do that throughout the process every time I applied a color that's why it took me several days to complete this work 🙃.
Luego me enfoque en el fondo de la escena, comencé a aplicar un color marrón bastante calido, como no realicé la obra en un papel adecuado para trabajar con acuarelas, el papel se arrugo, tenía que esperar que el papel se seque para poder aplicar la siguiente capa de color, eso lo tuve que hacer en todo el proceso cada vez que aplicaba algún color por eso me tarde varios días en culminar esta obra 🙃.
To be the first work I do with watercolors 🎨🖌️ I feel very happy with the final result, I was patient and applied the color layer by layer, it took me 3 days, but mostly because of the wait for the paper to dry after each color layer; I still feel that I do not apply the technique correctly, but little by little by continuing the practice I will be able to improve in the application of watercolors 😌. Para ser la primera obra que realizo con acuarelas 🎨🖌️ me siento muy feliz por el resultado final, fuí paciente y apliqué el color capa por capa, me tarde 3 días, pero mas que todo por la espera de que secara el papel luego de cada capa de color; todavía siento que no aplico la técnica correctamente, pero poco a poco continuando la práctica podré mejorar en la aplicación de las acuarelas 😌.
