Presentando a mi nuevo personaje Loovie
Hello y'all, it's been a long time since I last shared a drawing with you. The truth is that I never stopped drawing, but there is a reason behind everything, I've been having this bunch of ideas for new characters, and because there are many ideas at once I decided to take my time to make notes and some sketches to capture as best as possible those designs that came to my mind. You know I'm addicted to create new things and today I come with a new OC (original character) her name is Loovie, she was the last idea I had. I had planned to just sketch the idea like the others, but with her everything flowed and I finished the drawing in its entirety, honestly it felt really good and kind of weird at the same time, because I noticed that I became a little clumsy with some things due to lack of practice which resulted in a kind of wake up call, I need to retake my drawings and finish them because it didn't feel good at all, I felt kind of alien to some steps, so much so that I had to go into one of my previous drawings to make sure I was doing the division of the layers and stuff like that right.
Hola a todos, ha pasado ya mucho tiempo desde la última vez que compartí un dibujo con ustedes. La verdad es que nunca deje de dibujar, pero hay una razón detrás de todo, he estado teniendo este montón de ideas de personajes nuevos y por ser muchas ideas a la vez decidí tomarme mi tiempo para hacer anotaciones y algunos bocetos para plasmar lo mejor posible esos diseños que vinieron a mi mente. Ya saben que soy un adicto a crear cosas nuevas y hoy vengo con un nuevo OC (personaje original) su nombre es Loovie, ella fue la última idea que tuve. Tenía pensado solo hacer la idea como los demás, pero con ella todo fluyó y terminé el dibujo en su totalidad, honestamente se sintió muy bien y algo raro a la vez porque noté que me volví algo torpe con algunas cosas por falta de práctica lo que resultó en una especie de llamada de atención, necesito retomar mis dibujos y finalizarlos porque no se sintió bien del todo, me sentí algo ajeno a algunos pasos, tanto así que tuve que entrar en uno de mis dibujos anteriores para asegurarme de que estaba haciendo bien la división de las capas y esas cosas.
The positive thing about all this (besides the motivation to finish my ideas) was that despite the uncomfortable feelings I felt, I enjoyed the process a lot, I played with some tools and effects. I loved feeling the need to make this drawing a little more pastel, the truth is that it was fun to use softer colors but my favorite part was the hair, although it was a lot of work to color it I did it differently because as I used to do it, it didn't lend itself to those soft tones because one of the things that characterizes my drawings are the vivid colors sometimes abusing a little saturation. The shading and lighting of the hair was what took me more time, although I discovered a way to make the gradient easily and neatly, it was difficult to select the right tones for each shade and although it is true that I can improve many things, the result after so much time if it was to my liking. Later I will come with more designs to share and ideas to develop, if you got to this point I appreciate your time, thank you for reading and for your constant support. Lo positivo de todo esto (además de la motivación de concluir mis ideas) fue que a pesar de las sensaciones incómodas que sentí, disfruté mucho el proceso, jugué con algunas herramientas y efectos. Me encantó sentir la necesidad de hacer este dibujo un poco más pastel, la verdad fue divertido usar colores más suaves pero mi parte favorita fue el cabello, aunque dió mucho trabajo el colorearlo lo hice distinto, porque como solía hacerlo no se prestaba para esos tonos suaves porque una de las cosas que caracteriza a mis dibujos son los colores vivos a veces abusando un poco de la saturación. El sombreado y la iluminación del cabello fue lo que me tomó más tiempo, aunque descubrí una forma de hacer el degradado fácilmente y prolijo, fue difícil el seleccionar los tonos correctos para cada sombra, y aunque es cierto que puedo mejorar muchas cosas el resultado después de tanto tiempo si fue de mi agrado. Más adelante vendré con más diseños que compartir e ideas que desarrollar. Si llegaste hasta este punto aprecio mucho su tiempo, gracias por leer y por su apoyo constante.
