Why Did The Heron Cross The Road?

This is my entry for this weeks #createthatlook Photo Filters & Effects Contest organised by @bliss11 and @drakernoise

Theme: Animated Gifs Rounds ~ Week 10

This is my original photo of this White Faced Heron.

I then added an interesting background.

Next, I applied a Lightning Effect.

And to complete my blog, sheets of rain created the effective mood for a stormy night.

And now I will answer my question above:
"Why did the heron cross the road?"

Well, he was afraid of storms...…..particularly lightning storms and he was looking for shelter amongst the trees on the other side of the road. Which of course, is never a good idea, as trees are not the best protection during electrical storms.

I have also come to the conclusion that this bird fully qualified for the title, 'Bird Brain' because he forgot that he had wings and naturally, it would have been much quicker for him if he'd used them instead of his feet on this occasion.

Perhaps the storm confused him and triggered a case of temporary amnesia. Lets hope he made it home safely without any more drama. (lol)

THANK YOU FOR VIEWING. HAVE A GREAT DAY.

He looks so much like the great blue herons I have here. I thought he crossed the road to swallow the chicken whole :-)

Ha ha, food was the last thing on his mind, he just wanted to get home to his Mom! Lol.

Plot twist: the chicken is the foster mom of the heron.

Yes that's it. I think I can see a story developing here. You may have to change your name to sketch.and.jam.and story teller. Lol.

Wow your works are all amazing.. Hope to do a great piece as yours 😊.. I am always learning from your post.

Thank you for the beautiful comments. God Bless You!

Wow, that's an impressive transformation! We have a lot of great blue herons around here, so that's a familiar figure... we even have a nesting pair in a nearby douglas fir.

How exciting to have great blue herons nesting near you @reddragonfly I'm sure you will keeping a close eye on them. Thanks for your visit.

Superb art work! This is outstanding work!! How I wish I had artistic DNA in my head!! LoL

Thank you @kaminchan for the comments. Much appreciated.

Oh! Hi! No posts from you for a while! You must have been busy with your art work! If I lived near you, I would ask you to teach my about art!!

Cheers.

Yes absolutely, we would have a lot of fun together throwing paint around. Lol. And you're right, I have been busy with my artwork lately.

Thank you very much for your kindness! Throwing paint would be a lot of fun. My teacher never allowed that at school!

So glad to know that my sixth sense is working very well again!

Cheers.

The good thing is...…...you don't have to ask for your teachers permission any more. So.……..paint with unrestrained abandonment. (lol)

Oh! This would be truly wonderful as it would help releasing my fear of making mistakes! You are very kind and wonderful artist!!

Cheers.

Nowhere is safe! If you're under trees they might explode or fall on you if there's sky to ground lightning, and if you're out in the open well you're the tallest thing around XD Definitely a bird brain, I'm pretty sure they're pretty good at inclement weather detection and it should have been home well before the storm hit :D

Thanks @ryivhnn for your comments and visit. Much appreciated.

Wow, this is awesome..the background change and the effects are amazing. A wonderful entry i must say...am glad you are a part of the contest. 🤗💕

Thank you @bliss11 for your comments. Much appreciated. Sorry for the late reply.

I love well done photo edits but what I love the most are those with a message. This one you shared @trudeehunter has a cute message to me apart from that funny one in your story. Wild life are always threatened by the human progress, roads are one of the worst...
Thanks so much for your entry and sharing your used tools. Best wishes for the votings 🤗🤗🤗

Thank you so much for your comments @drakernoise I am delighted you enjoyed my post.

Love it, love it, love it! You gave life to the image with the final animated touch.

Thanks Neli I thought I would just add something a little different to them. Lol

Very creative i love how you put that into sequence motions 😊

Thank you @bigsambucca glad you like it.

Your most welcome @trudeehunter 😊
