Thank you, you're too kind. I actually slapped this on the paper, so it only took about 5 hours or so. I've done better, worse, too. Still learning.
Okay that’s wonderful! Every artist has their own signature style for their artwork. And I can see that for this piece, you are more inclined to the “realism” or “naturalism” effect of painting themes (please correct me if I’m wrong). Awesome work indeed!
Yes, I think in order to learn painting one has to start with representational art first. Abstraction comes later, and hopefully all by itself. For now I like the idea of actually recognizing a subject at first glance.
