I don't go to the forest these days, but when I used to go there, I used to bring back souvenirs from nature. Acorns, pine cones, colored leaves in the fall, and so on. In forests like botanical gardens, there are souvenir shops that sell wood carvings and other wooden goods, but I prefer souvenirs that I can pick up for free.

最近は森へは行きませんが、以前は森に行ったら自然のおみやげをよく持って帰っていました。どんぐりとか、まつぼっくりとか、秋になったら色づいた葉など。植物園みたいな森には土産物屋さんがあって木彫りや木の雑貨などを売っていたりしますが、私は無料で拾えるおみやげの方がいいです。

I've always envied people that go foraging in the forests and make collages with the goods. Lovely!
