The Gunfura hairstyle is conventionally threadbare by men from the Karrayyu Tribe. The hairdo is popular across the Karrayyu land.
Gunfura is worn for a rite called Gadaa, which occurs every 8 years under the full moon. It's a rite to fork over power to another Chief.
The rite takes place in the desert with hundreds of transient cottages having been put together, especially for the Gadda.
At the leading edge of each house, there is cow fencing. The cow is their sacred animal and each one is named like one of their children.
Inside this cottages, each family has brought their bugée mataas, plunder of artistically, bespangled leather, their only valuable object.
At the witching hour, the tribal balls begin, the mass circle forms, and the gladiators, the Qondallas with their Gunfura afro hairstyle leap up and down to show their power. The desert suddenly becomes an immense dust cloud.
In concert, a gang of another valet de chambre look for the female scion of the eager beaver chief. She's hiding and they must track her down, and they have to locate her before a full moon.
One hundred cows are immolated in the early hours of sunrise. Their blood is smudged on the facades of the children as an augury of protection. Even babies are not left out.
Then comes the dignified, conventional bat of an eye of the rite, the two families involve face one another. Each holding blades of wild grass, irrechas, which are the Karrayyu symbols of power. In a stir-crazy rough and tumble, the exchange of power takes place in just scant seconds. The new chief proclaims the authority and passes into oblivion.
