La descripción para el día 20 consistía en dibujar al artista con una cara triste, por este tiempo ya había visto la serie Sherlock Holmes de la BBC y por esa razón decidí usar una de las escenas de la serie en la cual si no me equivoco pide perdón a su querido John Watson por haber desaparecido.

Lamentablemente para este retrato me abstraje tanto dibujándolo que olvide por completo tomar fotos durante el proceso, por eso aprovechare algunas fotos detalle para explicar cómo fue el proceso de realización de este retrato.

Lo primero fue la realización del dibujo lineal para ello es muy importante tomar las medidas de la imagen de referencia para hacer el dibujo lo más fiel posible, el éxito de este primer asegura la calidad final de la pieza, en la siguiente imagen destacó alguna de las líneas que trazo a la hora de proporcionar un retrato.

Unfortunately for this portrait I was so abstracted drawing it that I completely forgot to take photos during the process, so I will take advantage of some detail photos to explain how the process of making this portrait was.

The first thing was the realization of the line drawing for this it is very important to take the measurements of the reference image to make the drawing as faithful as possible, the success of this first ensures the final quality of the piece, in the following image some of the lines I draw when providing a portrait.

El siguiente paso a la realización del dibujo lineal es aportar los valores correspondientes, son muchas las técnicas que se usan para esta parte del proceso como puntillismo, difuminado con los cuales se consiguen efectos muy realistas, el que yo adopte y es la técnica con la que mas me siento cómoda es mediante la trama.

Consiste en realizar trazos rectos paralelos entre si, que luego se cortan con trazos iguales, pero de diferente dirección, la yuxtaposición constante de trazos crea una textura muy suave y es casi imperceptible a la hora de diferenciar los trazos.

The next step in the realization of the line drawing is to provide the corresponding values, there are many techniques used for this part of the process as pointillism, blurring with which very realistic effects are achieved, the one that I adopt and is the technique with which I feel most comfortable is through the weft.

It consists of making straight strokes parallel to each other, which are then cut with equal strokes, but of different direction, the constant juxtaposition of strokes creates a very smooth texture and is almost imperceptible when differentiating the strokes.

Para resaltar las areas muy iluminadas suelo realizarlo con un limpiatipo, este tipo de borrador es moldeable como una plastilina y es muy útil para borrar en áreas muy pequeñas otra cualidad que tiene este borrador es que no daña las fibras del papel y no deja residuos como las borras blancas escolares.

To highlight the very illuminated areas I usually do it with a type cleaner, this type of eraser is moldable like a plasticine and it is very useful to erase in very small areas. Another quality that this eraser has is that it does not damage the fibers of the paper and does not leave residues like white school erasers.

Para definir los cabellos suelo realizar trazos en dirección de las hebras del cabello, el cabello de Sherlock tiene algunas ondas en algunas áreas para ello realice muchas líneas curvas para lograr el efecto deseado, en cuanto al fondo realice igualmente tramas yuxtapuestas hasta rellenar todo el fondo.

To define the hair I usually make strokes in the direction of the hair strands, Sherlock's hair has some waves in some areas for this, make many curved lines to achieve the desired effect, as for the background, also make juxtaposed wefts until filling the entire background.
