Flower bouquet in watercolor. Stages of work

In watercolor painting, there are many techniques and ways of working. But if the features of different types of paper have been mentioned more than once, then today a few words about the working methods themselves.
В акварельной живописи существует множество техник и способов работы. Но если про особенности разных сортов бумаги говорилось уже не раз, то о сегодня несколько слов о самих методах работы.

I usually wet the sheet on both sides. So it does not twist and lies flat on the surface. I usually put the paper on a flat table, but if necessary, you can make a slope of the surface.
Обычно я мочу лист с двух сторон. Так он не скручивается и лежит ровно на поверхности. Обычно я кладу бумагу на ровнй стол, но если необходимо, можно сделать наклон поверхности.

While the paper is wet (you need to wait until it absorbs a little water), a large brush is applied to the main spots of the future picture. This is a very important creative stage, because it is now that the overall mood and color scheme is determined.
Пока бумага влажная (нужно подождать, пока она немного впитает воду), крупной кистью наносятся основные пятно будущей картины. Это очень важный творческий этап, потому что именно сейчас определяется общее настроение и цветовая гамма.

Once the first stage is ready, and the paper has become even drier, you can work on some details. Usually at this stage I use a slightly thicker paint, as it spreads less on the sheet.
Как только первый этап готов, а бумага стала ещё суше, можно поработать над некоторыми деталями. Обычно на данном этапе я использую чуть более густую краску, так как она меньше растекается по листу.

When the sheet is completely dry, we work with thin brushes and bring the details to the final result. But you can do something else: carefully wet the sheet again (not with a brush, but simply by lowering the paper under water), and complete the picture with blurred details that we did not have time to do during the first stage.
Когда лист полностью высох, работаем тонкими кистями и доводим детали до окончательного результата. Но можно поступить иначе - снова аккуратно намочить лист (не кистью, а просто опустив бумагу под воду), и дополнить картину размытыми деталями, которые мы не успели сделать во время первого этапа.
