However, soon he heard cheerful chirping and at first decided that it was birds singing in the bushes, but when he looked over the hill, he saw happy children floundering in a small river.
There was no sense of desolation here at all, and despite the fact that the city was gradually disappearing into oblivion, a cozy house was laid out under an old spreading tree. Life went on.
