The protagonist wakes up to the sight of being enveloped by a mysterious catgirl, who informs said protagonist that he suddenly appeared in the middle of the battle between an evil goddess and her succubi and those trying to get rid of her.
The catgirl, Kiara states that she’ll do anything for her new master, seeing as human males are now rare.
So kicks off another Toffer Team visual novel. As you can probably tell from the introduction, the story does sound suspiciously like their previous title Hikari! Love Potion, although the story just stays with Kiara, and doesn’t go anywhere.
Graphic wise, it’s all very nice as usual, with, of course, the obligatory sex scenes, although it’s so cliqued now, and not terrible interesting. It’s simply animated and are really no different from their previous games.
Story-wise, it’s pretty standard with nothing particularly unique about it really. Whilst fun it is also rather plodding, and as mentioned previous, the war that’s supposed to be going on, is just in the background and only ever discussed briefly.
However, saying that, Kiara is (possibly) aware that she is in a visual novel with an amusing bit about dialogue boxes and pressing “H”. There is also a nod to Bohemian Rhapsody, as well as censorship.
Aside from those interesting deviations from the story, it has all the standard tropes that an adult visual novel has. The constant use of “Ara ara “ gets highly irritating as well.
There is a nice bit of costume swapping for Kiara, although despite what she says, the range of costumes for her are somewhat limited.
One thing that is highly unusual is the dialogue box – or to be more exact, the word wrapping inside it. Whilst there is a noticeable left margin from which the text starts being displayed, the right-hand margin is much, much smaller, so the text overflows onto the dialogue boxes background, which makes the overall text formatting look rather weird. The strange problem also extends to the quit confirmation box too.
In addition to that, some of the sliders in the options menu can, quite literally go off the scale and far outside the slider bar area.
Overall, it’s short and for the length is reasonably priced. Just don’t expect a meaningful story or any desire to replay it once it’s complete.
or the price, don’t expect anything outstanding, beyond some nice graphics, otherwise you’ll be disappointed, especially any mention of a war between two factions is quickly forgotten.
To put it crudely, this is just an extended costume changing game with sex scenes in between.
The music is okay and the infrequent sound effects are good. As it’s priced pretty cheaply, it may allow you to stave off a bored hour or two.
Fortunately, this is the last of Toffer Team visual novel reviews from me. They also do LIP! Lewd Idol, but if the quality of that is as low their previous three, I'm glad I don't have it.
Hey, I just got caught up on these. That last screenshot could possibly get the community in trouble because it’s a bit too revealing. Could you please mark this and some of your previous posts as NSFW in the title? Thanks.
