With everything going on these days, it's hard to think about training in chess, but I'll take some free time to play some bullet games and see how far behind I am.
I'm not as far behind as I thought, although I've dropped a few rating points. In terms of what I think I can achieve, I still have a pretty stable and good rating.
Bullet is a game mode where we only have one minute to play everything we're going to play, and where skill and reaction time are equally important.
I believe that if you're good at this mode, you're generally good at chess, and so far I haven't been wrong.
You need a deep understanding of the middlegame and endgame opening to be able to play these types of games effectively.
Also, a bit of luck could mean your opponent makes a mistake or is short on time, so you can finish them off more easily.
I think it would be great if hivechess had more of these types of tournaments, which are shorter and can lead to slightly less predictable results.
Just look at some of the Games I've played that often reflect how chaotic that style of play tends to be.
And if you ever want to play against me, you know where to find me. I'm trying to be a little more active in this whole chess thing, and I could use an opponent.
