Chess Queens & Pride Lionesses

Queens & Lionesses protect - Kingdoms & Prides.

The Kingdom belong to the King but the Queen many times have the greatest power and control. Like wise the Lion is the King but the Lionesses control the hunt.

Chess Origins (A Fictional Story)

Once upon a time there were a King (yes of course). But the question everyone want to know is how did the game of chess get started. Many people first thought, might be that it's based on a Kingdom and it's army. That would be correct but I want you to dig deeper. Where did the idea for a Kingdom and army come from. There is one narrative that stand out from all others.

For as long as one can remember man has lived in the forest/jungle. The jungle has always had a generic law. Any men that didn't perish are the men who came to know the law of the jungle. The rules was pretty simple; you Eat, Fight, Run, Hide or die in the Jungle.

The Chess Equivalent

  1. EAT - Capture
  2. FIGHT - Exchange Pieces
  3. RUN - Advance Pawns
  4. HIDE - Castle
  5. GAME - The Jungle

Now we can see the concept for Chess was in man head for man years. At least the men who survive the Jungle. In order to survive the Jungle man would have to be a good listener as well as observer. Now the men who survive the Jungle all observe one thing for certain, the LION was the King of the jungle. While there were many dangerous animal in the Jungle, all the animals accepted the LION as the King of the Jungle. It was clear that the LION had delegated much of his power because the LION was hardly every seen attacking and killing any prey. However he was often seen eating alone the very best of the kills.

Now The Answer

The game of chess is based on the Jungle Kingdom, where the Lion is the King and everyone else is his subjects. Of course the Lionesses are his queens and they have the most power. I am really happy to extend this knowledge to all the Chess Communities and beyond.

Oh Yea! Today in the modern world you are allowed to resign instead of being EATEN.

Nice story (even if lions aren't living in the jungle, at least not in the rain forests, but in habitats like grassy plains and savannahs ...). :)

Thanks, but it’s always the same story anywhere for the Queens :)
