Chess960 has 960 starting positions - Season 21 Round 10 Recap

Hello everyone.
Friday tournament with Chess960 variant for Round 10 was good decision. Time format and one of 960 openings every other game makes chess more exciting and challenging. It worked for me this time with 6th place in final standings. Best finish so far in Season 21 it may be one of best finishes in long time as I recall.

Blunder game

Blunder that cost you game.
In this position I am winning. Can for a King and Queen with knight to c6. Engine says take bishop a6. If I recall correctly I was thinking about that for a split second or was it rook to a8. Play was fast. Well there were good moves. But nope. There is a move. Move that was played.

Bishop to c8 with idea of taking bishop on a6 and trying to checkmate. But this game tempo to my opponent and with perfect play he delivers checkmate. Congrats
