@tangibleay and @southgamer congrats on second and third place. Last games decided standings for them.
Same case with my last game as it finished seconds before end of the tournament. My estimate is one or two second before the end of the tournament. Last second win was enough for 10th place. Nice.
Very intense game to end the tournament.
Last pairings of the tournament are double edged sword. You may win and get better position on final standings or go down several places.. All that being said last game with less than a 5 minutes to the end of the tournament is no berserk zone (other games were berserk friendly).
This last game of the tournament was against @teooo (teoooForHive)
After developing moves and King side castle by @teooo it was time for the attack on King side.
H5 pawn move was move to start. I did not expect h4 response as it opened King side. Good for me for now.
After more moves, piece shuffles and couple trades I had nice setup toward his king. Only problem was time at this point.
If I remember correctly it was less than a minute in this position. It is winning but maybe time wont allow it. After some checks by @teooo and approximately 15 seconds to the end of the tournament I sent draw offer. I am one move away from win if there are no checks.
He took on d6 which allowed Queen to h4 checkmate. It was seconds before the end of the tournaments. I was not even sure did it count as win until I checked the final standings.
Crazy game to end the tournament.
With this win I finished 10th overall. Not bad.

I think for me it is easier to improve in standings than in chess - chess needs some attention for improvement
