Hello everyone,
Welcome to a new lecture from me, and this time I will be taking you all through a lesson from a game I won against a chess grandmaster. Recently, I have been playing a lot of bullet games, and it feels good to know I still have some nice acrobatics in the world of bullet, especially in this game against a chess grandmaster, which I will be sharing with you all.
It is easy to forget about development and fundamentals when playing a bullet game. One might think it is all about playing very fast since you are given only 1 minute, which is true, but that is not all. I assure you that it is in bullet games that these fundamentals are needed the most, and how fast can you remember to play them out on the board?
No matter the time control, king safety, and development of the pieces are way more important than grabbing materials. If grabbing a piece would put your king in danger, I suggest you think twice before you do that.
Let us look at the game now.
1. e4 e5 2. f4 d5 3. Nf3 dxe4 4. Nxe5 Nc6 5. Nxc6 bxc6 6. d3 Bc5 7. dxe4 Bf2+

The opening was a king's gambit, where I will be looking for fast attacks in exchange for the pawns I sacrificed. I did not have to waste so much time, since I knew Gambit requires discipline, and I mean discipline in the sense that you have to move fast with the development of your pieces. The rapid development of my pieces is what gave me the strong move Bf2+. Now, no matter what white plays, the white queen falls next. IF he goes for Ke2, I play with Bg4+, and if he goes ahead to capture the f2 bishop, which is his best option, I can grab the queen on d1.
18. Bd7

After the loss of the white queen, the next sequence of action was simple for me, even if it was against a grandmaster. All I had to look for was creating a harmony among my pieces towards an attack on the white king, which is a very uncomfortable spot. Hence the reason for my rook on the g-file. I will be looking for a way to open up the g-file for my rook, which will increase the number of black pieces attacking the white king.
26. Bb5#

By move 26, I delivered a bishop checkmate mate which all happened because of a simple idea of being disciplined with my development while my opponent was grabbing pawns. Stay alert, most times when it comes, you are ahead in development, a sacrifice may be required to get the upper hand, like I did with the bishop to f2.

Very brilliant game.
I didn't expect that move at Bishop to f2 and then capturing White's Queen.
Sharp
There is an opening called Stanford gambit. That opening has so many ideas of this nature.
Thanks for stopping by :)
