Negras juegan y ganan material:

What's up friends, today I'll show you a bit of what was my participation in the sixth round of the Hive Chess tournament
which was held last Friday organized by the friend of the Hive Chess community @stayoutoftherz. It should be noted that this tournament mode was the Arena, basically it is a mode that allows you to play as many games as possible in a defined time, this time the time was 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Something that has always characterized me is that I like to play fast and in this mode there is something called Berserk, which allows you to get more points if you win the game, this with the condition that half of your time on the clock is reduced, ie if you have 5 minutes and give "berserk" you will have 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The pace of play for this round was 5 minutes to finish.

Precisely, being a tournament where what matters is to make the most points in a defined time the berserk matters a lot, that's why all or most of the arena tournaments I use this option 😂. To tell the truth my start in this tournament was not good as I lost the first game against @tungphong, who really was far superior in that game, I think the turning point was the move 18.Qb3 which allows the exchange of knights and let my opponent centralize his knight on the e5 square, causing me serious space problems, being this enough for my opponent could take the point.

Critical moment, 18.Qb3?** ** [lichess blackwess

However, despite not being in good shape I was able to climb up the tournament rankings. Honestly I was blind and did not see any move hahaha, later I faced again against @tungphong this time with the black pieces, in this position I had to play and I made 20.Axd5?? being a totally unnecessary move because here I had a winning sequence that I failed to visualize.

Simply with the move 20.Dg5 I could consolidate a material advantage but it totally escaped me. I was definitely blind that day 😅, I still had some good games that I managed to win, as was the case against jonbellionfan:

I consider that it was a nice game since the move 11.g4 turns out to be very thematic and usual in this type of positions of the Scandinavian defense because it seeks to threaten the advance of the pawn to g5 which would force the knight on f6 to move thus leaving the knight on d7 defenseless. It is also a move that makes Black's white squared bishop uncomfortable, leaving it without space and also prepares a possible avalanche of pawns with h4-h5.

Finally, with just a few seconds left in the tournament I was able to take a point of difference to win the tournament, thus becoming the winner of the sixth round:

Something I can highlight is that I had a 100% berserk rate, that is to say that I played all my games with half the time, something that is not an easy task, especially if you are analyzing and commenting at the same time. I hope you enjoy the gameplay and see you in the next ✌️.
