Hi everyone,so yes i finally found time to publish this πππ₯, as the Title of this post says, the weekly saturday hive chess by @sam.chess got a different winner after 9 weeks!!! And guess who the new winner was?? Well, let me know in the comment if you guess correctly ππ.
Over the last rounds of the weekly tournament, the event has been dominated by the very strong IM @maestroask , although he did not participate in the round 9 of the tournament, allowing me to snatch the tournament victory... i will take the win either way because it was actually still a difficult event as strong players participated in the round also.
Tournament standings, my thoughts, and a very good maneuvering game i enjoyed.
I managed to win the event with 50 points, on a 2380 performance and a little above 50% berserk rate, which is cool given the level of players that participated.
In events like this, one has to try to maintain energy throughout, be able to bounce back after a loss in order to avoid a serious tilt π.
Big shoutout to every stakeholder that makes the event possible and fun every week, the players,organizers, sponsors.

Jaki is a very strong and decent player and i always look forward to testing my skills against him every time as seen in this game.
White opened with an unorthodox opening which i find very dry as soon seen in the game as it went on to end in a draw after 85 moves!
Game progressed, still nothing much happened except for series of exchanges, and piece improvement, although care still has to be taken by both players as there were lowkey threats from both players.
Pheew, after 85 moves! Game finally ended in a draw due to insufficient mating material.
